Wareham Police seeking armed robbery suspect

Wareham Police are seeking the public’s help after Pepin’s Liquors in West Wareham was reportedly robbed by a man armed with a gun on Monday night.

Police say the incident took place on March 4 around 9:37 p.m.

A clerk at Pepin’s Liquors told police that a man had entered the store brandishing a gun and a bag with a drawstring demanding that it be filled with money.

The suspect was described to officers as a black man with brown eyes approximately, 5’9” tall and heavy set. The suspect was reportedly wearing black sneakers and black gloves with a blue winter coat. The suspect was also wearing a blue handkerchief over part of his face.

After further investigation, officers determined that another person, who was standing by the edge of the parking lot during the robbery, left with the suspect on foot on Cranberry Highway in the Weaver Street area.

Officers set up a perimeter with the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office had a K-9 unit on the scene, yet no suspects were located.
