Wareham police seize $12,000 in drugs
Wareham Police officers arrested two people and confiscated $12,000 in cocaine and marijuana after a police investigation led to a drug bust at a home on Hathaway Street on July 13, according to police.
Wareham officers along with members of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Cape Cod Drug Task Force arrested Nathan Landry, 29, of 164 Hathaway Street, and Kimberly Ranieri, 44, of 138 Swifts Beach Road after the bust.
Landry is charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine, distribution of marijuana, and possession of ammunition without the proper identification card. Ranieri is charged with possession of cocaine and possession of codeine, according to police.
During a search of the residence, police located approximately 98.5 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine and several baggies containing a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana, police said. Police estimated the total street value of the drugs at approximately $12,000.
Officers also found evidence commonly used by drug dealing operations, including corner-cut glassine baggies, a digital scale, and a video surveillance system with cameras, a monitor, and video recorder, according to police.
Landry and Ranieri were arraigned at Wareham 4th District Court on July 13. Landry was held at the Plymouth County House of Correction in lieu of a $300,000 bond or $30,000 cash. Ranieri was released on personal recognizance.
Both are scheduled to return on August 9 for a pre-trial conference.
