Wareham presenting results of annual groundwater monitoring report

Oct 16, 2012

The Wareham Fire District Water Commissioners and Kleinfelder Engineers will present the results of the 2011 Annual Wellhead Protection Monitoring Program on Monday, November 5 at 6 p.m.

The presentation will be at the Water Department office, located at 2550 Cranberry Highway. The public is welcome to attend.

The results of the 2011 tests indicate the Wareham Water District's drinking water supply meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards.

There are thirteen monitoring wells around Wareham's three well fields, and the Wareham Water District spends approximately $50,000 per year water quality tests to ensure the water is clean.
