Wareham residents may see temporary discolored water

Feb 2, 2021

Residents within the Wareham Water District may see temporary water discoloration over the next month due to a construction project, the department reported on Feb. 2.

Beginning on Feb. 3, crews will be working to replace the earthen dam in Maple Park off Glen Charlie Rd.

The project requires that one of the three major water lines from the district wellfield to the distribution system be temporarily shut down and relocated.

Because of that change, there is a chance that residents could experience temporary discolored water. The project is estimated to last for one month.
