Michael J. Thompson, a Wareham resident and senior at Upper Cape Technical High School, was awarded the Tools of Trade scholarship by the Post 220 American Legion of Wareham. 

Thompson was selected for the Tools of Trade scholarship award due to his excellence on the lacrosse field and in his studies in the electrical program at his school.    

The scholarship was presented to Thompson by Robert Powilatis, commander of the Wareham Post 220 American Legion, and member Ted Hatch.  

“We wish Mike well in all of his future endeavors,” The Post 220 American Legion said in a press release. “Congratulations!”
