Wareham teens arrested after Rochester home invasion
Two Wareham teens were arrested and charged with home invasion after a July 29 disturbance at a home on Ryder Road in Rochester.
The incident occurred during the early morning hours. Police were first called to the home for a disturbance, and while in route, received a second call reporting a resident of the home had been chased out of it, according to police.
Police said the victims told officers that a party was occurring at the home while parents were away and it got out of hand after uninvited people showed up after hearing about the party on Facebook.com.
Police arrested Darien R. Barrows, 17, of Wareham and charged him with home invasion.
Police also obtained an arrest warrant for McKinley Ward Jr., 18, of Minot Avenue for charges of home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Ward turned himself in at the Wareham District Court, according to police.
Police said they are still looking for two males connected with the incident and are investigating whether it is linked to three other recent parties disturbed by uninvited guests and resulting in property thefts.
Anyone with information about the incident are asked to contact Rochester Police at 508-763-5112.
