Wareham Week, WCTV launch podcast series

The first episode of the Wareham Wire is now available for streaming on WCTV’s youtube channel.

The Wire is a collaborative podcast series launched by Wareham Week and WCTV. The goal of the Wire is dig deep into local issues by discussing the questions and concerns our community members are asking every day.

The show is hosted by Wareham Week reporter Meghan Neely and WCTV Outreach Coordinator Michaela Bottino.

A graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, Meghan joined the Wareham Week newspaper in May of 2018. She moved to Onset two months later in June from her childhood home in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Along with her editor, Matthew Bernat, she covers everything in Wareham from Selectmen meetings to 3-alarm fires. She previously wrote for the Charlotte News in Charlotte, Vermont and has freelanced for several other publications.

Her reporting provides the bulk of the information discussed on the Wire.

Michaela is a lifelong resident of Wareham and a graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. As WCTV’s Outreach Coordinator, Michaela is constantly engaged with the interests and concerns of her community. She teaches screenwriting at Wareham High School and is always looking for new stories to explore.

When it comes to the Wire, Michaela asks the hard hitting questions.

The first episode of the Wire was designed with the Nov. 6 election in mind to answer questions about the Elementary School Building project.
