'The Way Way Back,' Steve Carell movie with scenes from Onset now playing
If you want to see scenes from Onset Village and Water Wizz in "The Way Way Back," it's finally in theaters.
But you'll have to travel an hour to see it.
The movie, starring Steve Carell and Toni Collette, filmed last summer in Onset and at Water Wizz in East Wareham.
The independent film is a coming-of-age tale about a young boy who travels to a beachfront community for a summer vacation with his mother, played by Collette of "The United States of Tara," and her boyfriend, played by Carell of "The Office" fame.
It's only in select theaters, and the closest appear to be in the Boston area — the AMC Loews on the Boston Common and the Kendall Square Cinema in Cambridge.
