WCTV updates website

Jul 22, 2010

Due to popular demand, Wareham Community Television (WCTV) has updated its website to include an easy-to-find TV schedule.

"Community viewers have been asking us to create an easier tool to check out our lineup of programs - and we listened. We hired freelance webmaster, Warren Randolph, to give us a new look with great tools and information," said WCTV Executive Director Jay Heard.

Randolph added: "The idea was to design the WCTV website to incorporate video clips of shows, still photos, forms and the Community Bulletin Board into an easy-to-use format." He continued: "The channel guide may be printed, or viewers can search shows by clicking through on the links, or they can click the link to the Bulletin Board to check individual slides currently being played."

Other updates include "Community Links," which lists all upcoming community events as well as links to the websites of WCTV members.

The Program Guide will run twice during each Bulletin Board cycle on Comcast Channels 9 & 97, as well as Verizon Channels 28 & 30.

"We believe that our viewers will find this to be a huge improvement in searching for their favorite WCTV show," Heard said. "And we hope that more residents will stop by the studio to see how easy it is to produce their own show".

WCTV is currently seeking residents who'd like to get involved with WCTV, producing television content, taking free production classes, and volunteering on shows.

Membership applications are available on the WCTV website, www.warehamtv.org, and at WCTV's offices at 505 Main Street.
