William Dennis Coffey, 70

CARVER – William Dennis Coffey, 70, of Carver, passed away on May 2, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth. He was the husband of Elena (Kreger) Coffey and the son of the late William F. and Rita E. (Conlon) Coffey Kelley.

He was born in Boston and lived in Brockton before moving to Carver.

Mr. Coffey worked as a truck driver for Turner Steel Co. in West Bridgewater for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed fishing and metal detecting. He was Stone The Barbarian at King Richard’s Faire in Carver for years, selling his handmade staffs.

Survivors include his wife, Elena (Kreger) Coffey of N. Easton; a stepdaughter, Tammy Kreger of Easton; a sister, Carole Atwood of Wareham; a step granddaughter, Andreanna Bender.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
