Wine tasting to benefit the Wareham Foundation for Education

Feb 15, 2011

The Wareham Foundation for Education is hosting a wine tasting event on March 7 at Ella’s Wood Burning Oven Restaurant, located at 3136 Cranberry Highway, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The tasting will benefit the WFE, an organization that helps provide resources to enhance and enrich Wareham Public School students' educational experiences through programs which are not funded by the school budget.

The foundation recently encouraged teachers to propose projects such as field trips and enrichment programs (music, art, drama, dance, video club, science events, guest speakers, tapes, and anything else that would give students expanded educational opportunities). Awards have been made to three teachers to fund the projects. Award winners will receive their grants at the wine tasting.

Tickets cost $30 per person and can be purchased by contacting WFE President Gloria Peel at 774-678-0382 or by mail at P.O. Box 1654, Onset, MA 02558. The tickets must be paid for in advance. They will be held at the door.

Donations are accepted throughout the year and may be sent to P.O. Box 1654, Onset, MA 02558 c/o WFE, Attention-Treasurer, R. Paulsen.
