Workplace training workshops to be held in April
The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, The Center for Corporate and Professional Education (CCPE) and Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank will come together to provide workplace training opportunities in Wareham and the surrounding Cape Cod Canal region, in a series that begins April 5.
The two-class series will be held April 5, from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., and is called “Secrets of Search Engine Optimization”.
The second session, “Hiring & Developing Talent – Building a Strong Workforce”, will take place on April 26, from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., and be taught by Kathleen Egger, Chief Talent Officer at Education, Inc.
“As the labor market tightens in the region and the economy strengthens, employers are increasingly struggling to keep pace with staffing needs,” said Tammi Jacobsen, Director of The Center for Corporate and Professional Education at Cape Cod Community College.
In both workshops, each participant will:
· Gain foundational knowledge of topic while evaluating their own data
· Apply best practices to their specific situation
· Develop a personalized plan of action
· Participate in a mini-focus group to help customize follow up workshops that will expand the curriculum based on their individual training needs!
· Receive an invitation for employers to apply for express grant money to cover 50 percent of additional in-depth training costs
Each workshop costs $10 to attend. They will be hosted byCape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank at 10 Rosebrook Place.
