YMCA's 'Lucky Leprechaun Challenge' on March 11

Feb 28, 2017

On March 11, the Gleason Family YMCA will sponsor its annual fitness program, the “Lucky Leprechaun Challenge,” for kids ages 6 to 12.

Starting at noon, the event begins with a stretching program called “lucky laces.” After warming up, participants are invited to try out fitness challenges and obstacle courses before testing their knowledge on science, mathematics, history and geography.

Cost is $3 per person or $5 for two participants. Later in the month, the YMCA will host “The Shamrocker Challenge” for adults on March 17 at 6:30 p.m. The YMCA described the event as a “boot camp-style workout.” For that event a $3 donation is requested.

The Gleason Family YMCA is located at 33 Charge Pond Road. For more information, call the YMCA at 508-295-9622.
