Barbara M. (Griffith) Jenney, 78, of Marion, passed away Saturday, May 29 at the Tremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wareham. She is the wife of George D. Jenney, of Marion.

Born in New Bedford on August 13, 1931, Barbara was raised by her grandparents Edward and Annie (Little) Hughes and her loving aunt Ethel Hughes.

Barbara was a member of Saint Gabriel's Church in Marion. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her dog Spanky, and braiding rugs. Barbara took great pride in her home and being a homemaker, and she was known to many as "Grammie."

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Robin Kendrick, of East Freetown, and a son David Jenney, of Wareham. She was the grandmother of Peter Kendrick, Hillary Jellison, Jenney Fairclough, and Cheyenne Jenney and the great-grandmother of Ethan Fairclough, Kylie Kendrick, Casey Kendrick, and Leo Jellison. She is the sister of Helen Barrette, of Plymouth, and she is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2 at 11 a.m. in the Wareham Village Funeral Home, 5 Center Street, Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
