Daily Wareham news -- two ways

Jun 9, 2010

You can always get daily Wareham and Onset news by sitting down at your computer and going to www.WarehamVillageSoup.com. As of this week, there are two new and easy ways to get the daily news sent to you.

1.  We've joined Facebook. If you, too, are a member of Facebook, you can become a fan on our new page and receive selected headlines sent to your Facebook account.

"Selected" means that Editor Cyrus Moulton and Reporter Jaime Rebhan will only post items on the page that appear to have broad community interest. Shortly after our page was created last week, Rebhan's reports of Wareham High School and Upper Cape Regional Technical School graduations were posted to the page. Some brief items about up-coming fundraisers made it onto the main WarehamVillageSoup website, but not onto the Facebook page.

2.  We're making it MUCH easier to get all the headlines from our home page sent to your e-mail every morning.

Several weeks ago, I wrote a similar column about getting daily news sent to your e-mail. Even as I was typing the long list of instructions to sign up for headlines, I was thinking: "This does not sound simple!" All easy, but a lot of hoops to jump through to get headlines.

Fortunately, our tech team agreed. So, as of some time today, here are the revised directions:

-- Go to www.WarehamVillageSoup.com

-- Look on the right side of the page for the box that says: "Get daily Wareham headlines delivered to your in-box."

-- Type in your e-mail address.

-- Hit "go."

Now THAT'S easy!
