Wareham resident Tara Fisher, 26, is charged with driving with a suspended license and giving a false name to police following a July 5 traffic stop in Carver in which one of her passengers was arrested on multiple drug charges after attempting to flee from the police.

Fisher was pulled over on Center Street in Carver at approximately 9:30 p.m. for traveling 59 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to court documents.

Fisher allegedly gave police a name that turned out to belong to a woman born in 1953, and the officer observed that Fisher did not appear old enough to be who she claimed to be, according to court documents. Fisher handed police her own license, which was found to be suspended.

One of Fisher’s passengers, Florence Raymond, was recognized by the officer as someone with a lengthy history of firearms violations, according to court documents. Raymond was arrested last year with “a loaded handgun and a large amount of narcotics on his person,” according to reports.

Police arrested Raymond during the stop and charged him with possession of a “Class A” substance with intent to distribute, possession of a “Class B” substance with intent to distribute, trafficking in heroin/morphine, cocaine trafficking, resisting arrest, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, destruction of property, and possession of a “Class E” substance.

Raymond is being held in lieu of $50,000 cash bail at Plymouth County Correctional Facility. Fisher later posted bail.
