The Gleason Family YMCA is accepting applications for a new after-school program with activities including gymnasium games, swimming, homework time, and classroom themes such as reading, science, and art.

The program will service Wareham Public Schools students in kindergarten through grade 7. Bus transportation will be provided from Minot Forest Elementary, John W. Decas Elementary, and Wareham Middle School at the schools' dismissal times.

Space is available on a first come, first-served basis. The program has a capacity of 26 children to start and will begin in September, as long as it passes licensing requirements on August 29.

The cost per child is as follows: $120 for five days/week; $100 for four days; $78 for three days; $54 for two days.

All Y child care includes a free YMCA family membership with 5 full days of care or a household combination of the same. There is also a 52-week blended rate option that includes discounted summer day camp.
