After months of planning and preparation by its owners, B.B.'s Bar and Grille in Wareham has finally opened its doors to the public.

Chef Michael Ball and owner Tim Ciaffoni are now ready to bring the B.B.'s experience to patrons.

"We've done a lot of work on the place," says Ball, "I was a former chef here and I'm very excited to come back."

B.B.'s is not the first restaurant to inhabit 2424 Cranberry Highway, having been preceded by local institution Pomodores and the short-lived Grille 28.

Now, new owners Tim and Sandra Ciaffoni are ready to try their hands at local cuisine, with the help of Chef Michael Ball.

Chef Ball says that while his favorite items on the menu will always be his specials, he has to acknowledge the location's locally renowned pizza, saying, "They've got a long reputation for the pizzas here, and we're using the same recipe that they did for twelve years."

In addition to Chef Ball's cooking, B.B.'s also offers Keno, live sports, a function room, an internet jukebox, and, to top it all off, a piano that plays itself.

"This is a really nice model," says owner Tim Ciaffoni with a smile as the keys pluck away all on their own, "it's very interesting."

Overall, Ball and Ciaffoni are eager to begin sharing B.B.'s with the town.

"We're just excited to be open and get the townspeople back into enjoying the place with us," says Ball.

B.B.'s is located at 2424 Cranberry Highway and is open from 11AM-1AM on Friday and Saturday and from noon until midnight on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
