Rams run over Bulldogs
The Upper Cape Tech Rams dominated the Holbrook/Avon Bulldogs on Saturday, beating them 42-6.
The Rams started doing some damage early, ending the first quarter with a score of 14-0. The Rams got two more touchdowns in the second, with one of the touchdowns coming with only 10 seconds left on the clock, bringing the score to 35-0 at halftime.
While the Rams kept racking up the points in the first half, head coach Mike Hernon says it could have been better.
"I think we came out a little sloppy," he said noting that Upper Cape Tech boys had a number of penalties called on them in the first half.
The Bulldogs managed to score in the fourth and the final score was 42-6.
Hernon says the team will be working hard this week to prepare for their game against South Shore Voc-Tech, where he coached for seven years before coming to Upper Cape.
"We're going to see a better team here next week," he said.
Upper Cape Tech will face off against South Shore Voc-Tech Saturday, October 26, at 11 a.m. at home.
