Gerard E. Flory, 84, of East Wareham, died October 28, in Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Toshiko (Wakazono) Flory and the son of the late Ernest and Celeste (Saulnier) Flory.

He was born in Lowell and lived in Wareham for many years.

Mr. Flory completed his post-graduate studies at Fordham University, Catholic University, and Purdue University.

Mr. Flory worked as a science teacher at Wareham High School for many years before retiring.

He was a longtime Babe Ruth baseball coach and manager. He also taught students in his Aquaculture After School Program for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Toshiko (Wakazono) Flory; 3 sons, Michael Flory of Broxton, GA, Ernest Flory of Amhers,t and Richard Flory of East Wareham; 8 grandchildren.

His visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway.
