Paul William Messia, 40
Paul William Messia, 40, of Wareham, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2013 unexpectedly in Dartmouth. He was the son of Donna Messia of West Wareham and the late Paul A. Messia.
Born in Quincy, Paul was a previous resident of Brockton before moving to Wareham. He graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1991 where he lettered in football and baseball. Paul also played football for the Middleboro Cobras and played hockey for a short time. Paul is being honored in 2014 into the Mitchell Memorial Club, Middleboro Cobras EFL Hall of Fame.
A member of the Laborers Union, Paul was a construction laborer and worked for Southeast Construction Co. He was an avid Bruins fan and enjoyed spending time with his children.
Survivors include his mother; his children, Justin Xavier Messia and Taylah Rose Messia both of Wareham; his brother, Anthony Messia of Bourne and his sisters, Michelle Messia of Wareham and Amanda Reace of Brockton.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Saturday, December 7th from 1 – 4 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
