Contest Winners Announced
Wareham was filled with Christmas spirit this holiday season. The Wareham Village Association, in conjunction with the Onset Bay Association, sponsored a wreath contest on Main Street and in Onset Center.
The winner of the Main Street contest was Pipers Restaurant. The winner of the Onset contest was Pier View Restaurant.
There were many excellent wreath entries on Main Street, including Gallery Consignment, Jacks are Wild, and Legacy Insurance. There were also numerous businesses getting into the spirit and decorating their windows and storefronts. Noteworthy were Gourmet and Gourmand, Eastern Bank, Attorney Dennis Conry, GAF Engineering, Irene’s Flower Shop, Narrows Crossing Restaurant, Ready Kiernan & McNally ,Twigs & Tides, Riverside Café, and Carl’s Floor Covering.
The Wareham Fire Department’s decorations, with plenty of lights, Santa, and a huge Rudolph added to the decorations of Main Street. The Wareham Village Association was assisted in the decorating at the town green by a Christmas tree donated by the A.D. Makepeace Company and trimmed by students. Another tree, donated by Nessralla Farms, was loaded into Santa’s sleigh.
It was great to see so many businesses helping make Wareham sparkle and shine.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Decas and Pam Kiernan
