A Wareham woman was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation after a cooking incident at 19 Fifteenth Ave., Tuesday evening.

Evangelos Tassopoulos, the only occupant in the building at the time, was transported to Tobey Hospital after the Wareham Fire Department responded to the incident at 6:17 p.m.

13 firefighters were on the scene for 45 minutes. There were no estimated damages due to the incident and the cause of the fire was ruled as an accident.

Tassopoulos' condition is unclear at this time and Wareham Week will update this story as more information becomes available.
