18th annual Onset Blues Festival today
Join headliner Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters at the Onset Band Shell for the 18th annual Onset Blues Festival on Saturday, August 7.
The gates open at 9 a.m. and the tunes start at 2 p.m. and go until 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20 on the day of the event, or you can reserve tickets through the Onset Bay Association (OBA) beforehand and pay $17 each. (Reserved tickets can be picked up at the OBA office, located at 4 Union Ave., before Saturday, or can be picked up at the gate on Saturday.)
Vendors will be selling everything from crafts and photography to clothing and CDs. Food will be available for purchase, too, as no coolers will be allowed inside the gate. Festival-goers with dietary restrictions will be accommodated, however. Additionally, only service animals will be allowed inside the gate.
"We're very much looking forward to this," said OBA President Mary Lou Payton, adding that she hopes the weather holds out. "This has been one of the nicest summers we've ever had."
