Isabelle M. (Barretto) White, 83, died Friday, May 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Born in Easton, she was the eldest daughter of the late Severiano D. and Caroline M. (Fernandes) Barretto. She was the wife of the late Richard H. White.

After graduating from Oliver Ames High School in Easton, Isabelle worked at Harco Orchards in Easton for several years and then went to work at the National Bank of Plymouth County in Brockton, retiring from there in 1989, which at the time of her retirement was called Shawmut Bank.

A communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham, Isabelle looked forward to her mini- vacations at the Connecticut casinos.

Isabelle is survived by three sisters, Dorothy C. White of Taunton, C. Paula Barretto of Stoughton, and JoAnn M. Savary of East Wareham, and two brothers, James A. Barretto and his wife Miriam E. of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lawrence S. Barretto of Tamarac, FL. She was also the sister of the late Louis F. Barretto. Isabelle also leaves behind an aunt and many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

Her funeral service will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, MA, on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
