Street Closing & Parking during Celebration
On June 14th the Militia Encampment will take place on the Town Green. Living History with Period Crafters' Activities will take place at the Tremont Nail Factory area. Several streets will close for the safety of the public during these events.
From 10 am to 4 pm, the following roads will be closed. Main Street will be closed beyond the CVS plaza over the railroad tracks (Tihonet Road) to the Mill Pond Diner Corner. Park Street will be closed from Main Street to Gibbs Avenue by the Congregational Church. Elm Street will be closed. Only local residents who live on those streets will have access.
Parking on June 14th will be available at the Rosebrook Business Park on Rte 28/Cranberry Highway, with free shuttle service from 9:45 am to 6:00 pm. Visitors will be shuttled between the Business Park and the Old Mill Pond Corner within easy walking distance to the activities. Shuttles will run continuously all day with the last bus leaving the Old Mill Pond area at 6 pm.
A free ride on a trolley car will bring people from the Town Green area down Main Street to Besse Park giving visitors access to the shops and restaurants along Main Street as well as to the Kendrick Maritime Museum.
