The Wareham Historical Society will proudly display the George Decas Postcard Collection at 7 p.m. on June 16 at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St., Wareham.

George Decas was a past president of the Wareham Historical Society, President of the 250th Celebration of Wareham’s Incorporation and the author of a historical book about Col. Peter H. Peirce.

Mr. Decas’s collection reflects his passion for preserving Wareham’s historical treasures.

Katharina Decas has generously loaned us Mr. Decas’s collection for this interesting look back on our community’s historic past. There will be refreshments served. For members of the Wareham Historical Society, the event is free. It is $2 for non-members. An individual membership is $15; for family, $25; and for a lifetime membership, it's $250.
