Cynthia Marie Collins, 41, of E. Wareham, died Wednesday, July 2, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.

Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of Alan P. & Diane M. (Levesque) Collins of East Wareham. Cynthia attended Wareham schools and graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in 1992. She was recently employed as a cashier at Stop and Shop in E. Wareham.

Cynthia loved children, crafts and needlepoint. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch tickets and family get-togethers.

She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Sara K. Howard of Alton, IL and Melissa S. Collins and her friend Beth of Buzzards Bay; her nephews, Ethan and Sean Howard; her paternal grandparents, Herbert Collins, Sr. and his wife Bernice of Quinwood, WV and Carlene Grota of Taunton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins and her good friend Deb. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, the late Roger J. & Ormezinda Levesque.

Her funeral will be Thursday, July 10, from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Wed. from 4 to 7 p.m.
