Selectmen announced at their meeting Tuesday that this year’s Fall Town Meeting would occur on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014.

The dates of importance leading up to Town Meeting are as follows:

Friday, Aug. 15: Any article that is not a citizen petitioned article, must be submitted.

Friday, Aug. 29: Last day to post in at least one public place in each precinct the notice of intention of the Board of Selectmen to call the Fall Town Meeting for Oct. 27.

Friday, Sept. 12: Last day to submit petitioned articles for the warrant.

Tuesday, Sept. 16: Board of Selectmen should officially close the warrant.

Friday, Sept. 19: Last day to post in each precinct and deliver a copy of the warrant to the town moderator and the chairman of each committee.

Monday, Sept. 22: Last day to submit articles included in the warrant to the Finance Committee.

Tuesday, Oct. 9: Last day to publish entire warrant in a local newspaper.
