The Wareham Historical Society will be hosting its summer Ice Cream Social on Sunday, Aug. 17.

Family and friends are welcome to hear about the Historical Society’s upcoming programs at this annual event.

Many of the Society’s upcoming events will feature the Summer of Celebration historic displays that were in the Wareham Town Hall auditorium this past July 8, 9 and 10. For the month of Augnst, the Wareham Historical Society will present its own display, which was created by members Donna Truran, Mary Hull and June Strunk.

The Ice Cream Social will start at 4 p.m. on Aug. 17 at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St. in Wareham. The event costs $5 for adults and $2 for children. The event is free for members.
