A 'thank you' to those who helped with the Senior Luncheon
To the Editor:
The Plymouth County Sheriff's Department would like to thank all of those who attended and volunteered their time in making its Senior Luncheon a successful event.
About 80 seniors attended the luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 19, where they enjoyed music by Mikelyn Roderick, Buddy Monteiro, and also DJ Lady K.
They also enjoyed the food, pastries and drinks, along with a raffle.
The Department would like to also thank Dunkin Donuts, the Dudley Brown VFW, chefs Deneen Rose and Roberta Fernandes, and the volunteers including Kathy Silva, Becky Andrews, Lynn Spinola.
We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Larry Senna and the children from the Boys and Girls club for coming out and volunteering their time. The seniors were so happy to see that the children participated in the event. They served the seniors, danced for them and also cleaned up. They were a great help to us and we would like to get them involved in more events like this one.
Thank you to State Rep. Susan Gifford and Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph McDonald Jr and your staff.
Lisa and Becky
