Friends of the Wareham Free Library December Book Auction

The Friends have two(2) auctions going on this month.  The first is the book auction and this month there are three(3) offerings of books that were made into wonderful movies; Lewis Carroll's classic story of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Junior Library printed in 1971; The Robe by Lloyd C, Douglas, published in 1947, after WW2, a hardcover in excellent hardcopy edition with wonderful illustrations and the last is the screen play of Margaret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind, written by Sidney Howard with many spellbinding photographs.  The last to bid on these books is December 27.  To see these books on display visit the Wareham Free Library

The second auction is a Mr. Christmas, Christmas Eve Ball piece for a Christmas Village collector.  There are five (5) dancers and it is wonderful to watch.  There are 15 Christmas tunes, such as; Silent Night, Jingle Bells and Holly & Ivy and 15 classic tunes, such as; Skater's Waltz, Fly Me to the Moon and Let Me Call You Sweetheart.  This piece is in excellent condition.  To see the Christmas Eve Ball in the display case at the Wareham Free Library in the non-fiction area.  The bidding for this will end on Dec. 18 so the successful will have it in time for Christmas.
