The Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks #73 installed its Officers for the ensuing year at a formal event Friday, April 17, 2015, at a ceremony attended by more than 100 Lodge Dignitaries.
In addition to the installation, the “Citizen of the Year” award was presented to Alan Slavin, current member of the Town of Wareham Board of Selectmen by Exalted Ruler David Carson for the 2014-2015 year.
Guest speaker Rep. Susan Williams Gifford, of the 2nd Plymouth District, spoke about the benefits the community receives from the efforts of the Order.
