Roberta A. (Pipher) Foley, 56, of Wareham, passed away at home on Monday April 27. She was the wife of Alfred J. Foley Jr. of Wareham. Mrs. Foley was born in Wareham the daughter of Evelyn A. (Brown) Pipher of Wareham and the late Robert F. Pipher.

Mrs. Foley attended Wareham Public Schools and graduated from Wareham High School with honors in 1976. Mrs. Foley continued her education earning a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Suffolk University. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and her pets.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her stepchildren; Meghan Foley of Quincy and Alfred J. Foley III of Oklahoma. She was the sister of Robert Pipher and his wife Kathy of Foxboro, Michael Pipher and his wife Dorothy, David Pipher and Dianne Pipher all of Wareham. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was the sister of the late Debbie Merry and sister in law of John Merry of Carver.

A graveside service was to be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Centre Cemetery, Tihonet Road. Wareham.
