The Gleason Family YMCA is accepting registrations for its youth basketball leagues, which will all begin on December 11. The Y offers leagues for players who are as young as 5 years-old. Parents can register their children in person at the YMCA, over the phone by calling 508-295-9622, or online at www.YMCASouthcoast.org.

YMCA basketball leagues focus on skill development and building the whole child. YMCA leagues place an emphasis on character development and self-confidence as well as fostering a love for sports that will last a lifetime. The YMCA employs staff with a knowledge of sports, including local high school athletes. However, volunteer coaches are always needed.
