Haunted forest tours
The Gleason Family YMCA will host haunted forest tours on Friday, October 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event costs $3. Light refreshments will be served.
Family Fun Day in Onset
Head to Onset on Saturday, October 30 for the Onset Bay Association’s and Eastern Bank’s Family Fun Day from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The schedule of events is as follows:
12 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Pumpkin painting at the Band Shell
12 p.m. - 1 p.m.: Face painting at the Victorian Cafe, 3 West Central Ave.
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Ten-minute card readings by Sue Bellweather for adults, crafts for children at Artisana, 239 Onset Ave.
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Spooky stories at the Onset Bay Association office, 4 Union Ave.
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.: Costume parade from the Band Shell to Dudley Square and back
Trick-or-treating and more at Wareham Crossing
Several Wareham Crossing stores are also joining in the Halloween fun. Best Buy will host a costume photo station and costume contest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The event will also feature face painting and a movie screening for parents in the store’s Home Theater section.
But the fun doesn’t end on Saturday. On Halloween, Wareham Crossing is open for trick-or-treating from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Trick-or-treaters can make their way around the center to grab goodies from stores.
Friendly’s Express will offer a free Kids Meal with the purchase of an adult entree during the event, and L.L. Bean Outlet will hand out free bottled water.
