Free Family Friday Explorations offered in September and October

Families with youngsters in the early years of school can explore Wareham and in the months of September and October, on Family Friday Exploration adventures into the outdoors.

The three explorations, offered by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Wareham Land Trust, involve games and hands-on activities that teach families about the region’s animals, plants, and habitats. The outings are recommended for families with elementary school-aged children.

The list of outings is as follows:

  • Friday, Sept. 18: Orienteering at William Minot Forest (behind Minot Forest Elementary School)
  • Friday, Sept. 25: Make Your Own Fishing Pole at Horseshoe Mill (end of Station Street, Wareham)
  • Friday, Oct. 2: Crabbing at The Trustees of Reservation’s Lyman Reserve (Red Brook Road, Plymouth)
