Nancy McNeil, 83, of Wareham, passed peacefully on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Lena (Cavicchi) Romano. A resident of Wareham for over 50 years, Mrs. McNeil worked as a bank teller for Plymouth Savings Bank on Main Street. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham and was a member of the folk group.

Mrs. McNeil was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose faith and family were most important. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a talented artist.

Survivors include her children, Glenda Holmes, of Brattleboro, Vermont, Susan L. McNeil, of Sarasota, Florida, Nannette M. White, of Wareham, and Michael J. McNeil, of Candia, New Hampshire; her sister, Rose Askins, of Plymouth; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 16 at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St. at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visiting hours have been omitted.
