Key Club exceeds donation goals, looking for children's items
The Wareham High School Key Club exceeded its goal of raising $200 to help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.
The club was able to raise a total of $286.08 during the Halloween period as part of Kiwanis International's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.
The club will now focus on collecting new items for children in trauma for Children's Floating Hospital & the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute in Boston, which is dedicated to the specialized care of pediatric trauma patients and to the health and safety of all children. Donated items that will be accepted include: crayons, children’s books, coloring books, activity books, small handheld games, children’s toys, and art supplies. Donations may be delivered to the High School main office until Thursday, Dec. 3. Key Club members will personally bring these items to Childrens Hosptial on Saturday, Dec. 5.
