Leslie C. Ouellette, 89, marine mechanic, MacDougalls Cape Cod Marine Service
Leslie Clayton Ouellette, 89, of Wareham, died at Cape Cod Hospital on Dec. 9, 2010 surrounded by members of his family.
Born and raised in Rochester, he was the son of the late Dona & Hazel Ouellette of Rochester.
He worked for many years as a marine mechanic at MacDougalls Cape Cod Marine Service in Falmouth. In his retirement years he enjoyed cross country travel and camping with his wife, the late Beverly E. (Nickerson) Ouellette.
Mr. Ouellette is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the 534th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion.
He is survived by a son, Gregory Ouellette and his wife Pam of Sagamore Beach; a daughter, Melanie Anderson and her husband Fred, of Onset; six grandchildren Geofrey, Paul and Crystal Ouellette of Cotuit, Erin Chipalowsky currently of London, Keri Ouellette of New York and Chelsea Anderson of Onset; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Barry A. Ouellette and the late Geofrey Ouellette; and brother of the late Dona Ouellette of Marion, the late Roger Ouellette of Marion, and Dorothy Tuttle of Rochester.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte 28) Wareham, on Friday Dec. 17, 2010 at 11 a.m., followed by internment at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
