Wareham Free Library to host several events
The Wareham Free Library will be holding several events, starting on Feb. 25.
Adult coloring night
On Feb. 25, there will be an adult coloring session from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. The event will be led by local artist Mary Nyman, and will be held at the library’s main branch. The event is aimed at people 18 years and older, and no artistic talent is necessary. Refreshments will be served.
Cabaret fundraiser
A cabaret fundraiser for the Spinney branch will be held March 12 at the Elks Lodge. Doors will be at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. The show will feature Emcee Hank Stampfl from New York, and vocalist Linda Calise with special guests GQ and the Lady Band, vocalist Angella Kronillis, The Ruby Red Dancers, and Burlesque by Lana Lane.
Advance tickets are $20, and $25 at the door. There will be a cash bar and refreshments.

Used book sales
The Friends of the Library will begin hosting monthly book sales again at the main branch. The March sale will be held Tuesday, March 15, from 5 p.m. – 6:45 p.m., and will continue Thursday from 10 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cape Cod Collectibles fundraiser and Dr. Seuss’ birthday
The library will hold a Dr. Seuss birthday event, with stories, games and crafts at 11 a.m. At the same time, Cape Cod Collectibles will hold another library fundraiser. For $5, children and adults alike can learn to play the card game Pokemon in the Young Adult area of the library. Cards will be provided, and prizes will be awarded. All proceeds benefit the library.
