Pipe bursts at Wareham High
Dec 16, 2010
A pipe burst in the girl’s locker room at Wareham High School just before 2 p.m. this afternoon.
Wareham Fire Department responded, after a fire alarm went off at the school.
The burst pipe caused little damage, but "some of the girls will need to have their basketball uniforms washed,” said Superintendent Dr. Barry Rabinovitch, who was on-scene.
Students were dismissed as usual, and Rabinovitch said the incident would not disrupt after-school activities or tomorrow's school day.
In addition to Wareham Fire, EMS, as well as building, electrical, and plumbing inspectors responded to the scene.
