Vikings show off their colors
The eighth graders of Wareham Middle School ended School Spirit Week with a rally just before the bell rang on Friday.
Every class held a rally that day and students wore their school colors to go with the theme: Viking Pride Day. It was the last of a series for the middle schoolers; earlier this week students celebrated their favorite sports teams on Monday, dressed up as twins on Tuesday, wore mismatched clothes on Wednesday, and celebrated St. Patrick's Day with green colors on Thursday.
The rallies were held in the auditorium, featuring musical performances by the school choir and group activities. The eighth graders emulated a thunderstorm by creating different sound effects.
These events and activities precede MCAS testing which will begin on March 28 for fifth and sixth graders, continuing to April 4 with seventh and eighth graders.
Minot Forest Elementary school will host a School Spirit Week starting March 21 through March 24, including Hawaiian and Colorful Clothing Day, Sports Day, Black and White Clothing Day, and Dress Up Day.
