Daniel J. Russo, 75, of Buzzards Bay passed away Sunday, April 10 peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his family at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Barbara H. (Elliott) Russo for 33 years.

Born in Waltham, Mr. Russo worked as a construction laborer. He was always strong, brave and never stopped fighting. He will be forever loved and missed.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Karen Massa of Tewksbury, Kathleen Beckford of Fitchburg, Daniel Russo of Maynard, Lorianne Bourque of E. Kingston, New Hampshire and Suzanne Russo of Bourne; his former wife, Katherine Russo-Stephansky of Tewksbury. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

His funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Thursday, April 14 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
