OUI charges follow Wareham rollover accident
A 32-year-old man from Sagamore Beach is facing multiple charges, including operating under the influence of drugs (third offense), after the 2002 Ford pick up truck he was driving rolled over on Route 6 near the Bourne line on Tuesday evening.
According to a Massachusetts State Police spokesman, police responded to the crash at approximately 5:35 p.m. when a state trooper stationed in Bourne discovered the accident while on patrol. Police said the victim was transported to Tobey Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. The scene was cleared at 6:20 p.m.
Police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Police have not released the man’s identity at this time. He is being charged with the following: operating under the influence of drugs, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to keep within marked lanes.
