New 99 Restaurant opens doors after relocating

Apr 27, 2016

A new 99 Restaurant & Pub opened its doors to the public for the first time on Tuesday afternoon after relocating to 40 Rosebrook Place from its now shuttered East Wareham location.

With a staff comprised of the previous store’s employees, along with some new hires, General Manager Jay Phillips said the restaurant added 35 new, local jobs.

While the new restaurant is the same size as the previous one, it does feature a different layout, an updated look and larger bar area.

“We want to make this a place where family and friends want to gather after work, after school and other events,” Phillips said. “We’re looking to becoming a bigger part of the community.”

Phillips said the 99 Restaurant & Pub has a tradition of partnering with local organizations. At the restaurant’s grand opening party, scheduled for Wednesday, May 4 at 5 p.m., the Wareham Boys & Girls Club will receive a $2,600 donation from the chain. The event will also feature live music, guest prizes and free samples.
