RUBBER DUCK RACE!!

The Second Annual Rubber Duck Race, sponsored by the Friends, A.D. Makepeace Company and Watchman Waterproofing, will be held Sunday, May 22 starting at 11 am. Race time is 2 pm. The race takes place at the Tihonet Pond Canal, 150 Tihonet Road.

Duck Decorating will be from 11 am to 1 pm. Basic decorating supplies will be available. Or you can purchase your duck ahead of time at the Main Library, Spinney Branch Library or the Cape Cod Five Cents Bank and decorate it at home. Adults and children are invited to decorate their ducks which will be judged by a team of "duck design and fashion experts" and prizes in age categories will be awarded.

Also from 11 am to 1 pm, face painting and games such as hop scotch, hoola hoop and more will be ongoing and will provide plenty of family fun time. Back this year to entertain will be renowned local singer, songwriter, Mike Couto who is donating his performance to the event. Don't miss his rendition of "Rubber Ducky"!!

Ducks may be purchased ahead of time or on site the day of the race. A single duck is $5. A Six Quack is $25, a Baker’s Dozen is $50. Or get a golden flock of 25 ducks for $100.

All proceeds support the work of the Friends and benefit the Wareham Free Library.
