Donald H. Fisher, 82, ComElectric foreman, WWII U.S. Navy veteran

WAREHAM – Donald H. Fisher, 82, of Onset, died January 11, 2011 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the husband of Doris M. (Grassi) Fisher. They were married for 57 years. He was the son of the late Irving H. and Clara E. (Playse) Fisher.

He was born in Wareham and lived in Onset all of his life. He graduated from Wareham High School.

Mr. Fisher served in the Navy during WWII. He worked as a foreman for Com Electric for many years before retiring.

He was a member and treasurer at Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of the Gateway Treasures Club. He served as a volunteer at Tobey Hospital.

He enjoyed bowling, watching sports, the ocean, and boating.

Survivors include his widow; 3 daughters, Doreen Parker and her husband Craig of Rochester, Donna Fisher-Jackson and her husband James Jackson of Grass Valley, CA and Denise Fisher of West Wareham; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Parker and Jacob Donald Fisher.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the Wesley United Methodist Church, 462 Main St., Wareham. Burial will follow in Agawam Cemetery.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham.
