Wareham Library Friends thankful for Rubber Duck Race support
To the Editor:
The Friends of the Wareham Free Library want to say thank you to all those that helped to make the annual Rubber Duck Race such as success A.D. Makepeace Co. not only let us use their beautiful grounds, but also the Box Building, along with employees Kim Houdlette, Glen Reid and Hannah LeBlanc. Watchman Waterproofing donated the gifts for everyone and the prizes for the competition. Tom Strom of Kool Kone donated free ice cream cone certificates, Steven Rudin was an exceptional magician, Amanda French made many happy with her remarkable face painting skills and Madison Boutin, Indiana Troupe, and Emily Spear assisted Mrs. Hickey with all the games. A special thank you to Cape Cod Five Cent Savings Bank for their help in selling ducks for the race.
The Friends also want to thank the members of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the Friends, the Wareham Library Foundation and Trustees for spending several hours of their Sunday afternoon cleaning the grounds of the Wareham Free Library in preparation for the 25th anniversary celebration on Saturday, June 18.
Wareham is a wonderful community and its people are always willing to help whatever the cause may be.
Thank you,
Priscilla Porter, President
