Trey Vaughn Miranda, 17, of Onset, died Sunday, June 5 at Boston Children’s Hospital. He was the son of Teena M. Miranda of Onset and Jamie Pina of New Bedford.

Born in Wareham, Trey was a junior at Wareham High School where he played on both the football and basketball teams. He also played Wareham Tigers football, Wareham Little League and Wareham Junior Basketball Association.

Well known to the student body at Wareham High School, Trey had many friends and will be greatly missed.

Besides his parents, Trey is survived by his brothers and sister, Dayna Rezendes and her companion Sheldon Roderick, Michael Rezendes and Jordan Rezendes both of Onset and J.J. Pina of Wareham; his nieces and nephews, Messiah and Zylah Roderick, Kanan Rezendes and Sofia Rezendes; his maternal grandparents, Leah Miranda of New Bedford and Melvin Miranda of Harwich; his paternal grandmother, Alice M. Pina of Wareham; his Godparents, Mary Ann and Jack Silva and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, June 11 at the Wareham High School auditorium, 7 Viking Drive, Wareham from 9 to 11:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at noon. Interment will be in Center Cemetery, Wareham.
